A disturbing article in the Sydney Morning Herald which may give some insight into the current culture of fear and intimidation.

  1. Incredible! Using Stalinist methods to prove you are not a Stalinist Regime!

  2. They could have saved a lot of public money if they had just adopted the philosophy of "sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me."

  3. Advice to staff using this website
Do not reveal your real identity. Once your identity is revealed, you can kiss your job goodby. You will be targeted, bullied, harassed and intimidated by senior management. You will then receive a confidential letter contianing an number of fallacious allegations made against you for breatching the code of conduct. When you look at the allocations, we will quickly discover that they have been manufactured and you've been setup. If you are unlucky like some of us, you will then be aggressively confronted by senior management and evicted off the premises. For here on you either sing or swim. SWAHS will shun you till the day you suffer a nervous breakdown.

  4. "Never lose sight of the fact that the TRUTH is irrefutable and intcontrovertible: Malice may attack it , ignorance deride it. But in the end there it is" !!!!!!
Sadly Free Speech is deemed dangerous and not to be tolerated in this organisation.

  5. As someone with a family member who has a mental illness, I am "dreadfully alarmed" and think it is "awful" that suggestions of mental illness were used to stigmatize Mr. McKee-Hata. Is this how Mental Health Services in the area view mental illness?
And since when do barristers make diagnoses anyway?

  6. The extent to which a publically funded organisation purportedly whose prime directive is the provision of healthcare is now engaged in the suppression of free speech in attempting to close down this blog. What does SWAHS and Westmead Hospital have to hide. Where is the transparency ? It is time that a genuine External inquiry into the operations of Westmead Hospital and SWAHS is conducted . Attempts to precipitate a major inquiry are in progress. What is happening at SWAHS and WMH that is being covered up and the organisation fear to have exposed? Why is the culture of Bullying, Harrassment and Intimidation at Westmead Hospital and the wider AHS not being addressed?

  7. Further threats were made by the 'Unenlightened at Westmead Hospital this week when the purported 'Nursing leadership' there threatened staff with the "the Code of Conduct"(Weapon of Oppression) and discipline if they were using this site. There comments were made in a 'Leadership meeting' . Somewhat incongruous tactics to use under the heading of Leadership.

  8. It is time for staff to overcome their fear at Westmead and SWAHs and stand and speak out. To be silent is to be complicit in what is happening at Westmead Nursing where intimidation , bullying, intimidation and fear and oppression are part of the daily expectation. Nothing will change so long as staff are silent for that makes them complicit in the oppression by fear. YOU ALL KNOW THAT WHAT IS HAPPENING IS FUNDAMENTALLY WRONG SO STAND UP AND BE COUNTED. MAKE THOSE WHO ARE BEHAVING THIS WAY ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS: EMAIL YOUR LOCAL MP AND CONTACT THE MEDIA THERE ARE WAYS YOU CAN ALL BE PROTECTED. ADVOCATE FOR YOU PATIENTS AND FOR EACH OTHER.

  9. Note Hansard last week where the MP for Bankstown comments on the Mr Mckee-Hata matter and he states there that the allegations against him were unfounded per the handwriting expert. There is much more to follow

  11. Rampanat oppression of staff and vilification of anyone who speaks out against the prevailing viscious culture at Westmead and SWAHS continue unabated.

  12. Watch closely the case of Mr Mckee-Hata for it is about to re enter the media and a win is in sight which will have ramifications for many people who work at Westmead/SWAHS.

    MS CHRIS RONALDS, SENIOR COUNSEL
    Page: 29

Mr TONY STEWART (Bankstown) [12.39 p.m.]: Recently I informed the House that I have discontinued my legal action in the Supreme Court against the State and Ms Chris Ronalds, SC. Many of my constituents have contacted me to ask what is the status of issues regarding Ms Chris Ronalds, SC, whom they feel should be brought to proper account for initiating a legally flawed and untrue report, tabled in this House on 11 November, that led to the Premier's decision to dismiss me as a Minister. I inform the House that since this period, a number of people have come forward to my office to formally indicate that they too had become victims of Ms Chris Ronalds' legal ineptitude. These people include, among many others, Mr Bryan McKee-Hata, who recently spoke to Alan Jones about his issues. His experience was reported in the Sydney Morning Herald as well.

Mr McKee-Hata is a senior nurse with 24 years experience. Somebody wrote 26 anonymous letters within the Westmead health service complaining about management and bullying tactics. I do not know about the substance of those letters, but I can say that one of the most senior letter-writing experts in the world was called in to investigate the letters and determine whether they were Mr McKee's letters. That expert concluded that there was no basis to say that they were Mr McKee's letters. Regardless, Ms Ronalds was brought in to investigate. She found that he did indeed write the letters. Mr McKee, a person with 24 years experience, resigned.

Recently I was informed that Ms Ronalds was in Bathurst during a very important colonial investigation into the tragic disappearance of a young woman, Janine Vaughan, who disappeared without trace from Bathurst in December 2001. I am advised that during the coronial investigation, Ms Ronalds stayed at the luxurious five-star Bishops Court in Bathurst. Fair enough—I guess she is senior counsel. I am further advised that at this stage Ms Ronalds became involved in a discussion with fellow guests and spoke about the coronial investigation—adding, quite tangibly, her own perspectives about certain people of interest to the police Strike Force Mountbatten investigation that is dealing with that tragic case.

This is potentially a serious issue because clearly, as senior counsel assisting police in that coronial inquiry, Ms Ronalds should not in any way be discussing this investigation publicly and should remain absolutely tight-lipped about any knowledge she has of the investigation, including any opinions she might have about certain suspects. Any public comment on such an investigation, whether in conversation or elsewhere, should be made only by the police. They are the people who are in charge of the investigation. Today I wrote to the New South Wales Attorney General, the Hon. John Hatzistergos, to advise him in more detail about this issue. It will be up to the Attorney General to ascertain what action should be taken relating to Ms Ronalds' conduct in this matter. In the meantime, I will continue to work on behalf of the many people who have contacted me to raise concerns about Ms Chris Ronalds, SC.

  18. Why has all attempt by Nursing staff at Westmead been silenced by the vicious culture of bullying, harassment and intimidation?
A member of the Nursing Exec at Westmead counseled a Num at Westmead, quote " if you want to get on in your career here at Westmead then you need to separate your values from your career"
This is but one example of the amoral leadership in Nursing at Westmead
